  INTRODUCTION TO MEDIAEVAL CATALAN LITERATURE

Course context for academic year 2010-11

Assignatura impartida pel Departament de Filologia Catalana i dissenyada com a segona literatura per a la resta de titulacions del pla Formatiu de Grau de la Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres. La naturalesa de l’assignatura està plenament justificada com a complement formatiu, i sobretot, per tractar-se d’una introducció a la literatura d’una de les llengües cooficials de la Comunitat Valenciana. Així apareix en les memòries dels diferents graus, atenent una disposició general de la Universitat d’Alacant sobre el coneixement del valencià.

  • CE13 : Understand and analyse the main stages, movements, authors and works of literature in a second language of those proposed in the degree course.
  • CE7 : Understand the characteristics and evolution of literature in the Arabic language to understand the role of its manifestations in building classical and contemporary literary thinking and assess its impact on the Arab social context and its relationship with other literatures.

Objectius generals:

Assolir una formació filològica i una capacitació bàsica per a poder llegir i interpretar textos literaris en llengua catalana.

Proporcionar eines per a poder explicar els aspectes generals relacionats amb els textos literaris que es treballaran i poder argumentar, oralment o per escrit, sobre les principals idees relacionades amb els textos i amb els continguts que es treballaran.

Proporcionar les eines necessàries per a assolir un grau de capacitació notable en la utilització dels conceptes bàsics que es tractaran en l'assignatura, relacionats amb el món medieval i amb la distància cronològica i conceptual que ens hi separa.

Objectius conceptuals

1. Assolir un coneixement bàsic dels gèneres i dels autors més representatius de les lletres catalanes medievals.

2. Conéixer el context social i cultural que propicia el naixement i el desenvolupament de les lletres catalanes medievals.

3. Conéixer les relacions culturals i literàries entre les diferents llengües de la península Ibèrica a l'edat mitjana, fonamentalment les interrelacions català-castellà en relació amb l'àmbit romànic de què en formen part.

4. Conéixer alguns dels textos més representatius del període estudiat, a partir de la seua lectura. 5.Conéixer i familiaritzar-se amb la llengua literària antiga: poesia, prosa d'art.

6. Familiaritzar-se amb la llengua catalana antiga i amb els diferents nivells estilístics

Objectius procedimentals

7. Identificar autors i obres del període i situar-los en el seu context adequat.

8. Identificar els gèneres literaris estudiats per les característiques textuals que presenten.

9.Identificar les característiques, estructura, finalitat, tòpics del text medieval.

10. Entendre el conjunt d'obres canòniques de l'època medieval i saber explicar les raons de la seua posició segons crítics i estudiosos.

11. Assolir un coneixement bàsic de les aportacions bibliogràfiques essencials sobre la literatura catalana medieval.

12. Assolir un nivell competencial bàsic en la metodologia i pràctica de l'anàlisi i la interpretació de textos literaris catalans medievals.

13. Assolir un maneig raonable dels múltiples recursos i materials pertinents per a l'estudi de l'assignatura.

14. Assolir un nivell bàsic de competència oral i escrita en l'exposició de tots els aspectes relacionats amb l'assignatura.

Objectius actitudinals

15. Fomentar la curiositat intel·lectual pels clàssics catalans medievals i, per extensió, del món medieval.

16. Respectar la memòria històrica i observar en quina mesura existeix una herència medieval en el món actual.

17. Observar la projecció i la pervivència d'alguns temes i tòpics de la cultura medieval en la literatura i art contemporanis: pintura, arquitectura, música, cinema.

18. Fomentar la capacitat d'expressió, oralment i per escrit, d'opinions, de conceptes, d'anàlisis referits als principals aspectes del temari.
