Course context for academic year 2017-18

Asignatura dedicada a la explicación de los principales conceptos y categorías de la Historia Contemporánea en Europa y el Mundo Mediterráneo, así como al análisis de los grandes procesos sociales y culturales desarrollados durante este periodo de la Historia de la Humanidad en el mundo europeo y mediterráneo.

Esta asignatura ofrece al alumnado una formación básica en aspectos esenciales de la docencia de la Historia en la enseñanza secundaria y en investigación y documentación histórica.

Esta asignatura se coordina con las asignaturas “Historia Actual de Europa y de la Integración Europea”, “Democracia y Dictaduras en la España del siglo XX” y “De las Guerras Mundiales hasta la Globalización”.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG2 : Capacity for analysis and synthesis.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Identify, analyse and explain History from a local, national, European and universal context, understood as a complex and dynamic process.
  • CE2 : Understand the relationship between past and present events, processes and conflicts.
  • CE4 : Master the use of the most significant concepts, categories, theories and themes of the different branches of historical research (economic, social, political, cultural, gender, etc.), as well as appreciating the importance that the different economic, political, social and cultural contexts have for research.
