Esta asignatura pertence al itinerario El mundo europeo y mediterráneo que plantea una visión de los procesos históricos en el marco europeo y la relación entre las dos orillas del Mediterráneo, sin olvidar otros ámbitos geográficos, con la idea de la transnacionalidad como referente. En este caso se trata de analizar los orígenes históricos de la cultura mediterránea, haciendo especial hincapié en sus fundamentos religiosos, para mostrar las bases culturales mediterráneas de las tres grandes religiones monoteistas en convivencia con el politeísmo pagano de raíz grecorromana.

- CE8 : Capacity to communicate and argue orally and in writing in any of the official languages of the Region of Valencia, using the habitual terminology and techniques of historiography as a profession.
