Course context for academic year 2022-23

La asignatura Historia y cultura contemporánea aborda el estudio de las manifestaciones literarias, artísticas, científicas y filosóficas más relevantes en la edad contemporánea, sobre todo del mundo occidental. Este estudio analiza transversalmente tales manifestaciones a través de los conceptos más relevantes de la modernidad y de la crisis de la idea de civilización y progreso.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG10 : Interdisciplinary teamwork.

  • CE10 : Capacity to manage resources, computer techniques and Internet to update knowledge using the new information dissemination techniques.
  • CE2 : Understand the relationship between past and present events, processes and conflicts.
  • CE6 : Acquire the ability to make critical use of documentary historical sources and information gathering tools (document catalogues and bibliographies, archive inventories, electronic databases, etc.).

  • Estudiar de las manifestaciones literarias, artísticas, científicas y filosóficas más relevantes en la edad contemporánea.
  • Desarrollar la sensibilidad hacia la Historia de la cultura.
  • Manejar los conceptos específicos relativos a las distintas manifestaciones intelectuales contemporáneas.
  • Desarrollar una capacidad de análisis y crítica ante la cultura contemporánea.
  • Reconocer teórica y visualmente las diferentes manifestaciones culturales contemporáneas.
  • Emitir juicios razonando con respecto a la cultura contemporánea.
