Course context for academic year 2017-18

La asignatura Historia, imagen y cine aborda el estudio de las imágenes a lo largo de la historia Moderna y Contemporánea, centrándose fundamentalmente en las producidas por el mundo occidental. Se analiza la importancia de la imagen como medio de representación del poder, así como su papel en la construcción de identidades colectivas y el peso creciente que su estatus ha ido cobrando en la sociedad de masas. Específicamente en relación con el grado de Historia, esta asignatura es afín a algunas de las asignaturas del itinerario A, como Memoria y usos públicos de la historia y B, como Historia y cultura contemporánea e Ideas y construcciones históricas en las épocas moderna y contemporánea
