Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2018-19

1. To explore the characteristics of speciality languages
2. To identify and apply the following micro-textual resources in the production of teaching resources: terminology, phraseology and terminological metaphor
3. To identify and apply the following macro-textual resources in the production of teaching and scientific discourses: genres, registers, discursive components, style recommendations and visual resources
4. To identify and apply the re-elaboration and re-contextualisation procedures involved in the dissemination of specialised knowledge
5. To familiarise with the bibliographic sources (periodical publications and scientific collections) of science popularisation in English
6. To acquire the knowledge and skills for the preparation of scientific and teaching discourses in English
7. To improve the communicative quality of the scientific and teaching discourse in English
