This subject is inserted in module 3, planning of tourist destinations. This course is to let students know applying methods, tools, and specific instruments for the promotion of the local development linked to tourism.

- Understanding of concepts related to local development.
- Understanding of the institutional, social and territorial factors that condition the development of the tourist activity at the local level.
- Identification of the possibilities offered by the territory as a key in the specificity of the subject to use endogenous resources.
- Analysis of the social response to tourism development and assess the impact of tourism on local economies and employment.
