Course context for academic year 2015-16

Esta asignatura se inserta en el módulo III (Análisis de riesgos naturales) que tiene como finalidad capacitar a los estudiantes en la Identificación y Valoración de los riesgos, mediante el conocimiento de los diferentes instrumentos y actuaciones orientados a su diagnostico, valoración y evaluación.

General Competences (CG)

  • CE3 : Understand the importance of interrelating the physical environment with the social and economic factors of the territory in the genesis and accentuation of natural risks.
  • CE4 : Master geographical information technologies applied to the planning and management of natural risks.
  • CE5 : Use Geographical Information Systems and prepare maps of natural risks.
  • CE6 : Master and apply fieldwork techniques to analysing and diagnosing areas of risk.
  • CE7 : Prepare, process, interpret and present data using quantitative techniques appropriate for risk analysis.
  • CE8 : Design and manage projects for analysing and proposing risk reduction and emergency management.

- Identificar el papel del fuego como factor selectivo y estructurador en el contexto mediterráneo.

- Clasificar los tipos de incendios y explicar los rasgos básicos de cada uno de ellos.

- Conocer los factores de riesgo y su aplicación para la predicción del riesgo.

- Analizar los elementos de prevención y sus aplicaciones para la reducción del riesgo.

- Diagnosticar qué es una plaga y conocer sus diferentes niveles de daño.

- Conocer los diferentes métodos de control de plagas, sus ventajas e inconvenientes.

- Conocer e identificar las plagas de mayor importancia en medios forestales, evaluación de su daño y posible origen.

- Conocer la biología de las principales especies plaga , sus daños y sus métodos de control.
