Course context for academic year 2017-18

Esta asignatura se inserta dentro del Módulo V, sobre Cartografía de Riesgos, que tiene como finalidad capacitar a los estudiantes en las principales fuentes de datos, técnicas, formatos y soportes de la cartografía de riesgos, tanto desde el punto de vista de cartografía integrada, como de cada uno de los factores y componentes; y contemplando desde mapas multirriesgo hasta cartografías de cada uno de los riesgos naturales.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG1 : Analyse, interpret and assess the results obtained in a critical fashion.
  • CG2 : Make decisions and solve problems in territories under risk.
  • CG4 : Organise and lead multidisciplinary risk management teams.
  • CG5 : Recognise competence and learning abilities at individual and group level.
  • CG7 : Awareness of topics related to sustainable spatial development and the prevention of natural risks.
  • CG8 : Master communication techniques clearly and in a manner appropriate to the social context of territories at risk.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE2 : Understand the phenomena of natural hazards at different territorial levels.
  • CE4 : Master geographical information technologies applied to the planning and management of natural risks.
  • CE5 : Use Geographical Information Systems and prepare maps of natural risks.
  • CE7 : Prepare, process, interpret and present data using quantitative techniques appropriate for risk analysis.
  • CE8 : Design and manage projects for analysing and proposing risk reduction and emergency management.

Los principales objetivos se asocian a los siguientes cometidos:

a)Identificar las diferentes tipologías de cartografía oficial que se elaboran en España relacionadas con los riesgos naturales.

b)Conocer experiencias internacionales de cartografía oficial relacionada con los riesgos naturales.

c)Profundizar en la metodología y técnicas de representación de los parámetros de peligrosidad.

d)Estudiar la integración y trasposición de normativas y leyes en la elaboración de cartografía de riesgos.
