Estudio de los diferentes tipos de reacciones llevadas a cabo por las enzimas. El curso no pretende un estudio exhaustivo de las enzimas, sino introducir al estudiante en como las enzimas facilitan las transformaciones bioorgánicas

Competencias propias del módulo específico de química médica

  • CEQM10 : Conocer los intermedios biosintéticos más relevantes que existen fuera de las grandes rutas biosintéticas.
  • CEQM11 : Conocer la estructura, biosíntesis, síntesis y reactividad de los productos naturales más importantes que no se encuentran dentro de las grandes rutas biosintéticas.
  • CEQM17 : Diseñar y desarrollar fármacos.
  • CEQM18 : Ser capaz de comprender la relación existente entre estructura química, propiedades físico-químicas, reactividad y respuesta biológica de los fármacos.
  • CEQM2 : Conocer las biotransformaciones básicas de los compuestos orgánicos.
  • CEQM21 : Conocer los tipos de reacciones avanzadas, más utilizados en síntesis química orgánica, desarrolladas por enzimas y otros microorganismos.
  • CEQM26 : Conocer las fuentes principales de productos químicos y su manipulación para su transformación posterior en materiales orgánicos de valor añadido.
  • CEQM28 : Ser capaz de aplicar los conceptos de química verde a todos los procesos de síntesis de fármacos, con énfasis en utilización de fuentes renovables de materias primas, reducción de sustancias contaminantes y diseño de procesos sostenibles.
  • CEQM3 : Plantear métodos y estrategias de síntesis.
  • CEQM8 : Conocer en profundidad los mecanismos avanzados de las reacciones orgánicas.
  • CEQM9 : Conocer los mecanismos avanzados, desde el punto de vista químico- orgánico, a través de los cuales tienen lugar las transformaciones biológicas más específicas.

  • CEQM10 : Understand the biosynthetic intermediaries that exist outside the major biosynthetic pathways.
  • CEQM11 : Understand the structure, biosynthesis, synthesis and reactivity of the most important natural products that are not found in the major biosynthetic pathways.
  • CEQM17 : Design and develop medicines.
  • CEQM18 : Ability to understand the relationship that exists between the chemical structure, physicochemical properties, reactivity and biological response of medicines.
  • CEQM2 : Understand the basic biotransformations of organic compounds.
  • CEQM21 : Understand the types of advanced reaction most used in organic chemical synthesis developed by enzymes and other microorganisms
  • CEQM26 : Know the main sources of chemical products and their treatment for later transformation into organic materials with added value.
  • CEQM28 : Ability to apply the concepts of green chemistry to all processes used to synthesise medicines, with emphasis on using renewable sources for raw materials, reducing polluting substances and designing sustainable processes.
  • CEQM3 : Propose methods and strategies for synthesis.
  • CEQM8 : In-depth understanding of the advanced mechanisms of organic reactions.
  • CEQM9 : Understand the advanced mechanisms, from a chemical-organic point of view, by means of which the most specific biological transformations take place.

El objetivo central será el estudio de las principales transformaciones de química-orgánica catalizadas por enzimas y sus mecanismos. Se estudiará la participación de las enzimas en diversos procesos biológicos, así como en la biosíntesis de productos de interés y en el metabolismo de fármacos.
