Applied Physics 1 is a basic subject during the first year of the degree in Fundamentals of Architecture. Together with Applied Physics 2 (basic subject during the second year), it provides an introduction to the basics of Physics. Most of the conceptual framework should already have been acquired during secondary education, but this course is directly focused on its direct application to Architecture. Most of the course revolves around the conditions for stability of basic shapes and simple structures. Many other modules in this degree refer to the concepts learnt in Applied Physics 1.
