Course context for academic year 2017-18

The health sector has firmly committed to ICT as one of the strategic axes on which to improve the efficiency and quality of health care. From the technical point of view, it is intended to provide health professionals with the best working and management tools so that they can provide the citizen with an increasingly effective, higher quality and more efficient care.

The objective of the subject of Information Systems is that the student knows in detail all the layers and subsystems that make up the health information system, obtaining an overall view of the same, specific knowledge of each one of them and their interrelationships.

 

 

Course content (verified by ANECA in official undergraduate and Master’s degrees)

General Competences (CG)

  • CG12 : Saber transmitir los conocimientos, habilidades y destrezas de la profesión del graduado en Ingeniería Biomédica.
  • CG4 : Evaluar y seleccionar equipos y plataformas tecnológicas para la implantación de sistemas biomédicos, servicios y aplicaciones en el ámbito de la salud, valorando el retorno de la inversión.
  • CG7 : Resolver problemas con iniciativa, autonomía y creatividad en el ámbito de la ingeniería biomédica.
  • CG8 : Participar y liderar equipos multidisciplinares y ser capaz de comunicar conocimientos, procedimientos, resultados e ideas relacionadas con la ingeniería biomédica y su aplicación en el ámbito de la salud.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE15 : Saber utilizar estrategias y habilidades tecnológicas para mejorar la comunicación entre usuarios de ingeniería biomédica, profesionales y pacientes, así como la difusión de información de salud.
  • CE19 : Comprender y adaptar los sistemas biomédicos para cubrir necesidades de escalabilidad, mantenibilidad, rendimiento, disponibilidad, seguridad y flexibilidad en el ámbito de la ingeniería biomédica.
  • CE6 : Conocer el concepto de sistema de salud y sus implicaciones a nivel local, autonómico, nacional e internacional.
  • CE7 : Diseñar, desarrollar, administrar, mantener y evaluar sistemas de información que gestionen datos relacionados con la salud.

 

UA Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT1 : Adquirir capacidades informáticas e informacionales.
  • CT2 : Ser capaz de comunicarse correctamente tanto de forma oral como escrita.
  • CT3 : Adquirir capacidad de análisis y síntesis.
