Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2019-20

In the subject Telecommunication Systems pretends that the student gets the knowledge, understanding and necessary capacity to be able to apply the pertinent legislation during the development of the profession, as well as the ease in the handle of specifications, regulations and normative of forced fulfillment by means of concrete applications to be able to develop and explode networks, services and applications of telecommunications.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG4 : Evaluar y seleccionar equipos y plataformas tecnológicas para la implantación de sistemas biomédicos, servicios y aplicaciones en el ámbito de la salud, valorando el retorno de la inversión.
  • CG5 : Conocer, comprender y aplicar los estándares y normas técnicas, sobre el uso de tecnologías de información y comunicaciones en el ámbito de la salud.
  • CG6 : Conocer las materias básicas y tecnologías, que capaciten tanto para el aprendizaje y desarrollo de nuevos métodos y tecnologías, como para la adaptación a nuevas situaciones en el ámbito de la ingeniería biomédica.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE11 : Desarrollar, administrar, mantener y evaluar sistemas biomédicos que presten servicios de salud a distancia para ciudadanos y profesionales, a través de una red de comunicaciones.
  • CE17 : Conocer y saber utilizar dispositivos e infraestructuras de redes de comunicaciones en el ámbito de la ingeniería biomédica.
  • CE3 : Conocer las arquitecturas de tiempo real, paralelas y distribuidas, su programación, así como las herramientas para su desarrollo por un equipo de trabajo en el ámbito de la ingeniería biomédica.

  • CT1 : Adquirir capacidades informáticas e informacionales.
  • CT2 : Ser capaz de comunicarse correctamente tanto de forma oral como escrita.
  • CT3 : Adquirir capacidad de análisis y síntesis.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2019-20

Acquire the knowledge on the concept of Telecommunication System in a generic way. Know the rule to apply in the juridical frame Spanish, as well as the distinct organisations of existent standardisation to world-wide level.

Acquire the necessary knowledges to comprise, develop and explode Systems of Television in their several types.

Know the technologies and relative matters to the systems of fixed and mobile Telephony, as well as develop those skills that capacite the student for the learning of new methods and future technologies.

Acquire the concepts related with the distinct Accesses to broadband Internet in their different versions.

Acquire ease in the handle of specifications related with Passive Optical Networks.

Know the technologies of wireless networks.

Acquire the capacity to work in multidisciplinary teams knowing the specifications, regulations and norms of forced fulfillment in Systems of Telecommunication.
