Course context for academic year 2022-23
This optional subject can be attended by students of the Degree in Geography and Territorial Planning who have passed the 60 ECTS of Basic Training and, at least, 60 compulsory ECTS. External internships constitute a curricular activity of a formative nature supervised by the Faculty, where each student must carry out 120 practical hours in a collaborating entity, public or private, national or international.
The conditions of the internship to be carried out (time period, type of day, tasks,...) are established in an agreement signed by the student, the collaborating entity and the university. The collaborating entity must assign each student a tutor who will be in charge of supervising the activity carried out in that entity. Likewise, the University of Alicante will assign each student an academic tutor who will be in charge of offering the necessary orientation and support for the correct performance of the external internships.

- CE3 : Capacity to understand and use the concepts of other disciplines correctly, especially history, law and town planning.
- CE4 : Capacity to combine temporal and spatial dimensions when analysing and interpreting spatial planning.
- CE5 : Capacity to read and interpret spatial information provided by statistical tables, graphs, maps, plans and satellite images correctly.
- CE6 : Capacity to transform and synthesise spatial information provided by statistical tables, graphs, maps and plans.
- CE7 : Capacity to determine and interpret the elements of the area in question according the scale of analysis.
- CE8 : Capacity analyse territory as a complex, interrelated and interdependent system.
