Course context for academic year 2017-18

La asignatura presenta los contenidos básicos conceptuales en materia de desarrollo local y sostenibilidad. Así, desde una perspectiva integrada, se plantea una base conceptual en materia de desarrollo local, las fuentes más importantes, y las sinergias más notables que las diferentes actividades humanas pueden generar en los territorios, no sólo desde el punto de vista socioeconómico, sino también cultural, ambiental y político. En este sentido, la asignatura va desde lo más general y conceptual, hasta el análisis de los diferentes instrumentos de planificación y gestión sostenible del territorio o los efectos territoriales de la aplicación del desarrollo sostenible a diferentes escalas.
La asignatura se convierte en una síntesis perfecta de los contenidos adquiridos por los estudiantes a los largo del Grado de Geografía y Ordenación del Territorio, pues de alguna forma para conseguir un desarrollo local sostenible es necesario combinar las materias de Geografía Física, Geografía Humana con los métodos y técnicas en Geografía, y, por supuesto, con la Ordenación del Territorio.

  • CE2 : Capacity to understand and handle the concepts, methodology and techniques of Geography and Spatial Planning correctly.
  • CE3 : Capacity to understand and use the concepts of other disciplines correctly, especially history, law and town planning.
  • CE4 : Capacity to combine temporal and spatial dimensions when analysing and interpreting spatial planning.
  • CE5 : Capacity to read and interpret spatial information provided by statistical tables, graphs, maps, plans and satellite images correctly.
  • CE6 : Capacity to transform and synthesise spatial information provided by statistical tables, graphs, maps and plans.
  • CE7 : Capacity to determine and interpret the elements of the area in question according the scale of analysis.
  • CE8 : Capacity analyse territory as a complex, interrelated and interdependent system.
