Course context for academic year 2021-22

La asignatura aborda los principales procesos que tuvieron lugar en España a lo largo de los siglos XIX y XX. Así, estudia de manera comparada las diversas etapas que se desarrollaron en el pasado español más reciente, destacando los cambios y permanencias entre ellas. Esta asignatura resulta fundamental en el Módulo 6 del Plan de Estudios: Mundo actual y patrimonio. Introduce al alumnado en el manejo de conceptos históricos básicos, en los debates actuales de la historiografía sobre la España de los siglos XIX y XX y en el recurso a fuentes de información bibliográfica e informática. Pretende capacitar al alumnado para el análisis, la síntesis y la expresión. Esta asignatura se coordina especialmente con la asignatura Mundo contemporáneo (2º).

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Understand human behaviour in society using specific methods and techniques of analysis and, in this way, develop the ethical commitment to gender equality and a special capacity for interpersonal relationships.
  • CE4 : Understand contemporary territorial, socioeconomic, political and cultural reality, national and international, to interpret and transmit one's view of the modern world in critical fashion particularly the process of European integration, as well as the shaping of the Spanish state and its impact on the world.
  • CE5 : Assess and interpret the cultural diversity of the Region of Valencia, contrasting the indigenous cultures of the region with other cultures with which relations and contacts are established, using the official languages as the vehicles for interaction.
  • CE7 : Make creative entrepreneurial use of the basic principles of the public and private organisation and management of ICTs to evaluate, create and carry out cultural dissemination projects.
  • CE8 : Acquire skills to prepare and display content related to the human and social sciences for dissemination and for educating secondary school children, using personal skills and ICT.
