La asignatura "Fisiología I" forma parte del bloque de conocimiento de las "Ciencias Básicas", que conforma los fundamentos para la mejor comprensión del resto de materias, específicas del campo alimentario. Si bien esta asignatura aporta destrezas y habilidades relacionadas con buena parte de las asignaturas específicas, tiene mayor relación con Fisiología II.
