Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2021-22

La Electroquímica está relacionada estrechamente con todas las partes de la Química, así como con algunas partes de la Física, la Ciencia de Materiales y la Ingeniería Química. La asignatura toma como base los contenidos introducidos en Termodinámica Química, Química Física Avanzada y Cinética Química para, a partir de ellos, dar una visión de las aplicaciones de la Electroquímica y de su importancia en el desarrollo sostenible. Con el fin de que el alumnado reciba una visión coherente de la materia, los primeros temas se dedican a repasar los conceptos vistos con anterioridad, ampliando los contenidos en algunos casos. Una vez explicada la parte fundamental, se repasan las principales aplicaciones, haciendo énfasis en los aspectos de conversión y acumulación de energía (fotosíntesis artificial y baterías), en los aspectos medioambientales y en la valorización de subproductos y residuos.
