Course context for academic year 2021-22
This subject falls within the branch of social structure and change, but delves into the factors and social processes that generate inequality and exclusion. If the degree in Sociology tries to offer the tools to approach the understanding of the society in which we live, one of the most perceptible consequences of capitalist system is precisely inequality and, consequently, Social Processes 1 focuses attention on that issue, which is one of those that we need to know more thoroughly. And this is because it has become a structural feature of our societies and, moreover, a characteristic that is manifested more and more intensely.
