Course context for academic year 2021-22

Teoría de las RR.PP. es una asignatura cuyo objetivo didáctico principal es el aprendizaje por parte del alumnado de los fundamentos teóricos y conceptuales de la disciplina de las relaciones públicas y su relación con otros elementos afines, así como la evolución histórica de la actividad desde sus inicios como práctica, hasta su aplicación interna y externa en las organizaciones actuales. Pertenece a la materia denominada “Teoría e historia de la Publicidad y las Relaciones Públicas”. En esta materia, será objeto de estudio los fundamentos teóricos y conceptuales de la publicidad y las relaciones públicas y el panorama general de estas disciplinas en la actualidad. Se diferenciará el concepto de publicidad y de relaciones públicas de otras formas de comunicación persuasiva, examinando su dimensión económica y social. Se estudiarán la publicidad y las relaciones públicas como actividades planificadas y organizadas, los elementos que conforman su estructura general básica de sus sistemas publicitarios, así como la evolución histórica de la actividad publicitaria (manifestaciones, corrientes, sector profesional) y de las relaciones públicas desde sus orígenes hasta la actualidad.
