Course context for academic year 2016-17

The subject is part of Software Engineering, focused mainly on aspects of administration and management of multimedia projects, complementing subjects "Analysis and Specification of Multimedia Systems" 2nd year, and "Design of Multimedia Systems", 3rd.

It covers the activities leading to the planning, estimating, monitoring and control of a multimedia project and the execution of the plan using the methodologies, technologies and tools most appropriate to contribute to its success (meet delivery times and estimated costs, and customer expectations). It also addresses the management of complete projects using standardized procedures and documents.
On the other hand, aims to raise awareness about the importance of the profession, the creation and use of standards and legal and ethical aspects of ICT (social and legal responsibility).

The subject is mandatory (1st term) and, therefore, will be issued by all students of the degree.

This subject, along with "Advanced Techniques of Graphics" and electives 4th year, will follow the methodology of "Project Based Learning" (PBL). A common project for pathway "Creating and digital entertainment" ("Video Games I", "Post-Digital", "Techniques Sound Design", "Video Games II" and "Virtual Reality") or to the itinerary "Content Management" will consider "(" Internet-Based multimedia Services "," e-Learning "," multimedia broadcast systems "," Advanced multimedia Services "and" Business and Media "). The common project has professional character, poses for all subjects, and will take place in team.
