Course context for academic year 2021-22

Los sistemas de imagen y vídeo por computador tienen múltiples y variadas aplicaciones en la actualidad, tanto a nivel de desarrollo como de investigación. Estos sistemas se basan en sensores de cámaras de video. A partir de éstos es posible adquirir imágenes de uno o varios objetos en una escena que, procesadas y segmentadas convenientemente permiten extraer características que puede ser empleadas para identificar y reconocer que objetos hay en la escena. En esta asignatura se presentan distintas técnicas de procesamiento aplicados a sistemas de imagen y vídeo por computador. Técnicas que tienen especial importancia cuando se requiere analizar una escena captada por un sensor basado en imagen.

  • C9 : Understand the fundamentals of information theory and be able to choose the best compression and coding systems for the transmission, storage and protection of multimedia content.
