Competencies and objectives

Course context for academic year 2020-21

The subject is part of the block of Basic Training of the degree. When the students study it, they get knowledges and competences to apply the central and specific training, that will acquire along their university experience, to the development of a satisfactory and useful professional life in the individual plane and of relation with the others.

Specifically, the subject is focused on professional work of engineering graduates and so on their participation in the management of business and professional projects. In this way, the concept of the project is at the core of both the theoretical and practical subject matter.

Every engineering project has a technical dimension that requires applying specialized and professional knowledge to design and execute competent designs in its technical-scientific field. However, in them it is necessary to consider an important business aspect, related to the commercial needs of the project and its financial viability from a business point of view, without forgetting aspects of a strategic and organizational nature.

In this sense,  this course provides with foundations for other subjects like Telecommunications Projects and Infrastructures I and II, Work Experience I and II and Final Project
