Course context for academic year 2014-15

Entomología Forense es una asignatura optativa que se imparte durante el segundo semestre del cuarto curso del Grado de Criminología.

 

La Entomología Forense constituye junto con la asignatura Policia Científica y Laboratorio Forense y la Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses, uno de los pilares básicos en las investigaciones forenses actuales. El objetivo fundamental de la asignatura es ofrecer al alumno una visión general de las evidencias entomológicas, con el fin de que conozca los principales grupos de artrópodos, así como las características básicas de su morfología y biología que aportan información para esclarecer casos legales. La asignatura se centrará en el estudio de los Insectos de importancia forense en el ambito urbano, industrial y criminal.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Be able to describe fundamental concepts in the fields of psychology, sociology, law and natural sciences that are needed to provide a global analysis of criminal phenomena and deviation.
  • CE10 : Be able to explain and summarise empirical information and results of research into crime, victimisation and response to crime and deviation, and evaluate the methodology used (identify which methodology is the most appropriate, its ethical principles, results, etc.).
  • CE11 : Be able to draft a criminological report.
  • CE3 : Be able to extract and synthesise information from different sources, including: handling information and communication technologies, designing and applying appropriate research strategies for compiling data using quantitative and qualitative methods, and being able to apply basic statistical techniques to questions related to crime and victimisation when necessary.

-. Adquirir y utilizar un correcto vocabulario científico que permita expresar con rigor los principales conceptos biológicos.

-. Reconocer los distintos niveles de clasificación de los artrópodos y aplicarlos a las evidencias entomológicas

-. Reconocer organismos e interpretar la diversidad de especies en los diferentes ámbitos de aplicación de la entomología forense

-. Entender las funciones vitales de los Artrópodos e identificar el papel que desempeñan en relación con un caso legal.
