Course context for academic year 2023-24
Esta asignatura se impartirá en el primer semestre del cuarto curso del Grado en Enfermería.
La ubicación de la asignatura en el último curso responde a la necesidad de que el alumnado haya adquirido las competencias de los cursos anteriores para su integración en el cuidado del paciente geriátrico y en procesos de fin de vida. Así la asignatura avanza en la integración de competencias relacionas con la identificación, valoración y abordaje de los síntomas en los procesos de fin de vida, las habilidades de comunicación, las competencias psicoemocionales de la enfermería, los principios de la bioética y la práctica basada en la evidencia. Todo ello, con el objetivo de que el alumnado llegue al segundo semestre de su último curso con la capacidad de abordar la complejidad de los pacientes geriátricos, crónicos avanzados y en situaciones de final de vida.

- E02 : Base the interventions of Health Science professionals on scientific evidence and the available resources.
- E03 : Establish evaluation mechanisms, taking into account scientific, technical and quality aspects.

- E05 : Apply the necessary methods and procedures in your field to identify health problems.
- E18 : Identify and understand the experience of suffering from a chronic process (or illness) and being dependent.

- 46 : Select care interventions aimed at treating or preventing health problems and adapt them to daily life using proximity and support resources for the elderly.
- 53 : Understand the most relevant health problems at different stages of the life cycle, providing comprehensive and effective care, in the field of nursing.
- 54 : Understand palliative care and pain management to provide care that alleviates the situation of advanced and terminal patients.
